1. The Versatile Choice: 5V Type-C Connectivity

Designed for modern flexibility and seamless integration.

  • Best For: Smaller lightboxes, desk decor, and bedside lamps.

  • Atmosphere: Ideal for creating a warm, ambient, and "low-glow" mood.

  • Compatibility: Works with any standard USB-C cable and adapter (phone chargers, laptop ports, or power banks).

  • Engineering Note: This option is optimized for energy efficiency and portability, making it perfect for minimalist setups.

2. The Pro Performance: 12V DC Power Jack

Engineered for maximum luminance and architectural impact.

  • Best For: Large scale designs, wall-mounted installations, and high-visibility displays.

  • Atmosphere: Delivers a bright, vibrant, and "high-definition" light output that commands attention even in well-lit rooms.

  • Connection: Uses a standard 12V DC barrel jack for a stable, high-capacity power flow.

  • Engineering Note: The 12V system is designed to drive high-density LED strips, ensuring uniform brightness across larger surface areas without voltage drops.

However, if you want your 118Lights piece to be the centerpiece of a room or a permanent wall installation, the 12V DC Jack is the superior choice for professional-grade illumination.

 

Custom Placement for Your Setup

We understand that cable management is part of the design. To ensure your lightbox fits perfectly into your space, we have established standard placements based on optimal engineering, but we offer full flexibility for your custom needs.

  • Standard 5V Type-C: The port is located on the back of the lightbox, keeping the sides clean for desk or shelf use.

  • Standard 12V DC Jack: The port is located on the bottom of the frame, designed for clean cable drops in wall-mounted or high-profile displays.

Need it differently? If your setup requires the power input on a specific side (left, right, top, or bottom), we are happy to modify it for you at no extra cost.

How to request: Simply add a note to your order during checkout with your preferred port location, and we will engineer your piece to match your specifications.
